Independence Day (United States)

In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July or the Fourth, is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.

History of mobile phones

In the beginning, two-way radios (known as mobile rigs) were used in vehicles such as taxicabs, police cruisers, ambulances, and the like, but were not mobile phones because they were not normally connected to the telephone network. Users could not dial phone numbers from their mobile radios in their vehicles. A large community of mobile radio users, known as the mobileers, popularized the technology that would eventually give way to the mobile phone. Originally, mobile phones were permanently installed in vehicles, but later versions such as the so-called transportables or "bag phones" were equipped with a cigarette lighter plug so that they could also be carried, and thus could be used as either mobile or as portable two-way radios. During the early 1940s, Motorola developed a backpacked two-way radio, the Walkie-Talkie and later developed a large hand-held two-way radio for the US military. This battery powered "Handie-Talkie" (HT) was about the size of a man's forearm.

This is my house

It is yellow with white.

Definitely it is spacious, because it has two floors.

In my house there is a balcony, where you can see The Bridge and all the view of the urbanization where I live.

There is a small backyard and a small porch, too, with few plants and flowers.

There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a dining room; all of them are spacious, with enough illumination.

There is a big kitchen which is comfortable and very lightly.

I think my house is very convenient because the drugstore, the bakery, the butcher chop and some stores and restaurants are near by and I can take taxis, carritos and the bus easily because my house is close to the principal avenue of San Francisco.

The only bad thing of the area where I live is that there is too much noise, which is consequence of the traffic

Chocolate Caramel Sandwiches

Ingredients:

Cookies:
1 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 cup icing sugar
3/4 cups unsalted butter
2 eggs
4 Tbsp orange juice
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Glaze:
4 squares semi-sweet chocolate
4 Tbsp butter

Step 1:

A night or two before you plan on making the cookies, you are going to make the easiest, most flavorful caramel in the universe that you'll eventually spread on the cookies. Take a can of sweetened condensed milk (I used two incase I messed up the recipe royally and had to make them again.

Note: Picture shows 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk but this recipe only requires 1.
I used an extra can just for backup.

Step 2:

Take the paper off of the can. Add to a large pot of boiling water (Do Not Open The Can), making sure they are submerged the entire time. Let the water come down to a simmer and leave for 2.5 hours. After 2.5 hours put in the fridge (after they’ve cooled down a bit) for at least over night and no longer than a week.

Step 3:

Preheat the oven to 350F and lightly grease cookie sheets.

Take the can of caramel out of the fridge to bring it up to room temperature.

Step 4:

Sift flour and cocoa powder.

Step 5:

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

Step 6:

Add orange juice and eggs and combine.

Step 7:

Add dry ingredients slowly and combine until smooth (it kind of looks like frosting).

Step 8:

Put mixture into a pastry bag with a large flat tip. Pipe into overlapping ribbons, about 4-5 per cookie. I'm bad at piping, hence the ugly little mishapen cookies.

Step 9:

Also remember to space them out or you will have to cut them apart as I did.

Put into oven for about 5 minutes. Check to see that they are not burning. When the liquid middle begins to harden, take cookies out (it happened in 2 more minutes for one batch, another five for the other batch).

Step 10:

Remove from cookie sheet carefully and put on cooling racks to cool completely (the cookies are a little flimsy at this stage and you will melt the caramel too much if you spread it on now).

Step 11:

Now open the cooled milk cans. Behold the sweet sweet caramel.

Step 12:

When completely cool, spread the caramel over one cookie and make a sandwich with another cookie. How much caramel you use depends on how much you like. I like adding an amount somewhere between a hearty slop and a thunderchunk.

Step 13:

What a cookie should look like:

Now for the glaze:

Step 14:

To make the glaze, chop the four blocks of chocolate with a serrated knife or a chocolate fork if you have one.

Step 15:

Add to a glass or metal bowl over a pot of simmering water and put in the 4 tbsp pf butter.

Step 16:

Once melted completely and smooth, spoon over one side of the cookies.

Step 17:

You can do both if you want, but I find it too messy and it tastes pretty good with just one side done. Put cookies in the fridge for the glaze to harden, then enjoy.

my favorite video

I just want you close
Where you can stay forever
You can be sure
That it will only get better
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don’t worry cuz
Everythings gonna be alright
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all I know is everything’s gonna be alright

No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I’m feeling
No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
You you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

When the rain is pouring down
And my heart is hurting
You will always be around
This I know for certain

You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don’t worry cuz
Everythings gonna be alright
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all I know is everything’s gonna be alright

No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I’m feeling
No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
You you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

I know some people search the world
To find something like what we have
I know people will try
Try to divide
Something so real
So till the end of time
I’m telling you that

No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I’m feeling
No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
oh oh oh …

Dear Mayor Saady Bijani

It’s a pleasure to write to you!

All the people in San Francisco is very happy for the things that you have done in here, all the schools, the squares, the churches, parks and the buildings are really nice, in fact the streets don’t have holes, but there are few things that you have to get better, for example:

  • The public transportation: The public transportation is very deficient, there are too many carritos and buses in bad conditions and that’s why I think the government should invest more money on it, and there should be more buses, too because the lines to take the carritos are too long and the people have to wait for hours to go home.
  • The insecurity: There are too many thieves in the zone and the people can’t be out their houses because they are afraid of it, and they are concerned about their kids because they don’t know if they are going to be safe in the parks or the squares, which are the places where they usually play, that’s why we should have more police officers on the streets.

I hope you consider the problems that we have in here, we need solutions and we trust in you!
